What is the ICF Good Neighbor Program
The ICF Good Neighbor Program is open to anyone who may be experiencing financial difficulties and cannot afford to buy a share in the CSA. We set aside a number of shares for anyone who in need of a helping hand. To participate, all you have to do is indicate you want to be part of the program when you fill out the form to join our CSA.
What exactly is a CSA?
A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program is where people within a community support a local farm by buying shares of a farmer’s harvest at the start of the farming season. It is the most direct way for a community to support local agriculture, and it is the most direct and profitable way for a farmer to reach local consumers.

What do I get?
Each $100 share purchased will entitle the purchaser to a percentage of the 2025 harvest. Last year shareholders received $280 worth of produce and farm-made artisan products for each share purchased. That was a great year. The previous year before that), shareholders received a $130 worth of produce and artisan products. That was our worse farming year since 2018, our first-year farming.
As evidenced two seasons ago, bad farming years can happen. Fortunately, in that instance, we were still able to deliver an acceptable value to shareholders in the CSA. However, we also offer this guarantee: if the retail value delivered is less than the share price, shareholders will receive a refund of the difference between the $100 share price and the retail value. So if the retail value delivered is only $90, shareholders would receive a $10 refund.
By pre-selling a season’s projected harvest, a farmer gets advance working capital, gains financial security, and reduces overhead costs through direct marketing to consumers.
Yes, you can! You can purchase up to 3 shares. The number of overall shares are limited, however, and it is first come, first serve.
The Iron Chicken Farm 2025 CSA Program will help you protect your family against inflation. Once you purchase your share (or shares) in our CSA Program, the cost of your portion of our harvest is fixed, guaranteed. You will receive farm fresh produce during the 2025 farming season (generally June through September) as well as other select products such as sauces, bread, canned goods, breads, etc. Simply put, our 2025 CSA Program will be a great value for consumers.
